Hello, @charles0617 – Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for reaching out! It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

I understand that you are getting a printer error / ink system failure with your Officejet printer. I'd first suggest you try the steps listed here: https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04204791.pdf  page 39.

Make sure to reseat the print head 3 times as suggested in the document.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you clean the print head manually. I found a wonderful HP YouTube video with clear instructions to perform this operation. Please check here: http://hp.care/2bVf9iT

The video is made on a different machine, but the steps are the same.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Thank you and have a great day 🙂

while going through the algorithim as suggested the error message changed to one that identified the yellow cartrige as the trouble.  My recall is a bit fuzzy but I believe it also suggested a leaking cartrige would cause this error. I pulled the yellow cartrige and saw that it  indeed appeared to be leaking. Ireplaced the cartrige and the printer went back to work. While I dont fully understand why the initial message didn't identify the problem, I followed your advice and fixed the printerand that is what counts to me. Thank you
