Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just replaced a working black 956xl black cartridge with another 956xl cartridge that I purchased at the same time and the replacement cartridge is giving error of "older generation ink cartridge"?!?!!?! They were purchased at the same time and the dates on them are the same?!?!?
