Hi @golsonarch,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code "71.02.4A" on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 indicates a problem with the printer's firmware. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This simple step can sometimes clear temporary errors.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can resolve known issues and improve the printer's performance.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a partial or semi-full reset of the printer. The exact steps may vary, so refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Even a small piece of torn paper can cause printing issues.

Check for Updates on Connected Devices:

  • If you are printing from a computer, ensure that your operating system and printer drivers are up to date.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
