Inkjet 1112 , printer is in error , 2/3 months printer was not used .

Try these steps:

Check for Paper and Jam Issues:

  • Make sure there is no paper stuck in the printer. Open the paper tray and input tray doors to check for any paper jams or obstructions.

Inspect Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and have not dried out during the period of inactivity. Replace any low or dried-out cartridges with new, genuine HP ink cartridges.
  • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth before reinserting them.

Run the Printer Diagnostic Tool:

  • Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows. This tool can automatically diagnose and resolve printer errors.
  • Download and run the tool, following the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer on to reset any temporary issues.

Check for Driver and Software Updates:

  • Ensure the printer drivers and software are up to date. Visit the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your HP Inkjet 1112.
  • Reinstall the printer driver if necessary, as it could resolve any software-related errors.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Confirm that the printer is selected as the default printer on your computer.
  • Make sure the USB cable is securely connected if using a wired connection.

Perform a Test Print:

  • Once you've followed the steps above, try printing a test page to see if the issue persists.
