Hi,

This error could be a hardware error or a software error, so to isolate we will need to do some steps.

1. do a power drain on the printer( unplug the power connector from the back of the printer, wait for 30 sec then plug it back).

2. if the printer is connected wireless then turn off the wireless on the printer. let the printer be stand alone.

3. try to make a copy on the printer, if it copies fine without the error then it means its a software issue and if it still shows the error then its a hardware issue.

Please get back with above results and i'll assist you further.

I have the same error. My printer keeps trying to connect to wifi but never connects.

@Delmo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • What model printer are you using?
  • Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Keep me posted.
