Just out of the blue, when I print anything (rg. a sentence from a word document), it prinys none or just a few characters (clearly) from the beginning of the line. If there are several lines it'll do the same for the rest of the document.
Ink levels are fine,documents...test page prints fine, preview is fine, scan doctor shows fine. I have 2 computers connected wirelessly and they both give the same result for different documents. The only thing that seems amiss is the alignment print then scan says there is a fault. I've tried settin it back to Factory defaults but no change.
Can anyone help please.suggest solution please ?. It's driving me crazy !.

Hi Folks - thanks so much for taking the time to try and help me. I feel very embarassed !. The issue was / is that black is not printing.
What threw me wwas a lot of my documents have coloured tex at the start of the line so it looked as if it was just missing parts. Also the 'test' page showed some 'black; which was probably grey using the coulour cartridge.
So I'll do the 'takeaout and rest' HP support suggestion and if that doesn't fix it I'll try a new black cartridge.
Thanks, Jim

Hi,
Does this issue occur when you copy a document?
This might occur due to a corrupted driver . i would suggest you to completely uninstall the software drivers from the computer . Once the printer is completely uninstalled, you can reinstall using the link here https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-4500-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304875 . This will ensure the proper up-to-date software is installed.
