Hi @VsJerry6244

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The orange light on your HP printer typically indicates a warning or error. Based on similar cases, here are some possible causes and fixes:

Possible Causes

Ink Cartridge Issue

  • The cartridge may not be installed correctly or could be low on ink.
  • Try removing and reseating the cartridges.

Paper Jam or Feed Issue

  • Check for jammed paper inside the printer.
  • Ensure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.

Printhead or Ink Clogging

  • If prints are blank, the ink nozzles may be clogged.
  • Run a printhead cleaning cycle from the printer settings.

Connectivity Issue

  • If printing over Wi-Fi, restart both the printer and router.
  • Try printing via USB to see if the issue persists.

Fixes to Try

  • Restart the printer: Turn it off, unplug it for 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Check the printer display: If there’s an error message, it may give more details.
  • Update printer firmware: Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.

  • Reset the printer: Hold the Power button for 30 seconds, then restart.

If the light remains on, let me know your printer model so I can provide more specific troubleshooting steps!
