Hi @rjbsr,
If the printer cannot produce a copy it is an indication of a hardware issue. You will have to contact HP for further support.
Contact HP:
Step 1. Open link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear

thks so much for responding to my inquiry .but im afraid either i gave the wrong info or the response is wrong.
im sure i gave the wrong info as to what the probelem was. there is no paper jam now that i can see and have followed the steps on the response page.
still getting message as to turn off from printer and not from power strip. i push the start copy button and the screen will read copying 1/1 but nothing happens. the first bar will show up on screen and thats it ,no noise, no parts moving, nothing.
im sure im probably doing something wrong but its still not working.
Mr. Wallace helpppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
