hp deskjet 8025 printer is only printing the first portion of my word libreoffice documents. Copying works fine. Printing pages directly from the web works fine. Recently installed new ink. hp scan doctor was no help. I have unplugged both end of the cord and plugged it back up again. Printer maintenance shows print quality is good. I believe the OS is windows 7, but not sure. The only thing different is that it was unplugged from the wall for a few days while we were away. Does anyone have ideas to help me out?

Welcome to the HP Community --

I've not seen Windows 7 for a number of years -- as I recall, it's kind of hard to miss.
Check here: Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
If you are running Windows 7, you know the OS is no longer supported.
"Not supported" does not equal "does not work", but weird issues are likely to surface occasionally.
?
If the model "number" of the printer model you provided in your message is correct, your printer is an OfficeJet Pro and not a little DeskJet printer.
HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer
The printer model and the Operating System version are important should you need to (re)install your printer software.
No particular comment on leaving the printer unplugged for long periods -- doing so can cause its own set of problems or the printer can be fine and dandy (no resulting issues related to printing). Sounds like everything is OK - printer still prints.
If the problem started right after the ink was installed, then, sure -- could be related. That said, you state the printer prints documents OTHER than the one from LibreOffice.
Guessing that the other print jobs (that work) are PDF or other "not Office" documents.
LibreOffice is a free type of document editing software likely based on Microsoft Office Word.
The print job characteristics are similar as are the printer software requirements.
Reloading the Full Feature Software can help if the reason for the odd print behavior is related to a failure in the driver.
True - the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software must be installed AND working to print office style documents.
The following "how-to install printer software" is written for Windows 10 / Windows 11.
Assuming the printer model is correct at HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer
(then)
The provided driver installation package link is supported several versions of Windows, including Windows 7.
There might be "other" oddities about installing software into Windows 7 that I've forgotten over the years.
For example, File Explorer was called Windows Explorer "back in the day".
Use what you can - guess at the other bits, I guess...
If it does not help to reinstall the printer software, the document structure might have an issue.
If you believe the document structure is OK, but the document will not print,
(then)
Try / Consider: Export the document to PDF and print that file.
Start...
If you want to try it,
Restart everything, including the router that controls your network
If you cannot stand it, consider at least Restarting the Printer and the computer.
Next,
If running a supported version of Windows (that actually supports Windows Updates),
(then)
Run Windows Updates - Check for Updates - if any updates are "Pending Restart", Restart the computer and log in

Printer - Full Feature Software - Install
If you have not done so, consider
- HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts. The full driver adds at least two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant and HP Scan. If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, the software supports the setup and use of the Fax driver. No Sign-in required.
If the full driver printer software is (already) installed but not working,
- Uninstall any printer software from Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features
- Restart the computer and sign in.
Next,
- Check (for the Printer) in Devices and Printers > If found, Right-Click Printer and Remove -- If any changes are made, that is, you remove anything, Restart the computer and sign in.
Next,
- If using a printer USB cable between the printer and the computer, disconnect the cable before installing the printer software.
- Download and Save the Full Feature Software installation package or the Easy Start Software
Details Page - Driver - For your Printer
>>> Full Feature Software - Web Pack Installation Package - Information - Download <<<
HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 All-in-One EasyStart Printer Setup Software – Offline Use Only
Installation
- Open File Explorer
- Navigate to the folder in which you saved the installation file (likely Downloads)
- Right-Click on the installation package and “Run as Administrator”
- If using a printer USB cable between the printer and the computer, connect the cable when instructed (near the end of the installation).
- After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in
====================================
The installation of the full driver adds at least two shortcuts to the Desktop:
Printer Assistant
HP Scan
