Serial no. [Personal Information Removed]
FPU no. L9U63-64001
issue : on panel board "0" has "!" and red light blinking and both "tri corlor and black" ink sign is also blinking.
i tried the method: press and hold power, press 3x "x" button, press colored button, and released power button... A printed copy says... current and previous error: Pen in left chute has error (21)
So what could be the problem? It's cartridge has been replaced a new one, a month ago...

Hi @krist22,
Thank you for your response,
The error code you're seeing, "Pen in left chute has error (21)," usually indicates an issue with the print head or its connection. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check the Print Head: Make sure the print head is properly seated. Open the printer and carefully remove the print head. Check for any obstructions or debris in the print head slot and the print head itself. Reinstall the print head securely.
- Clean the Contacts: The contacts on the print head and the cartridge carriage might be dirty. Gently clean them with a soft, lint-free cloth. Be cautious not to touch the electrical contacts directly with your fingers.
- Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no obstructions or paper jams in the printer that could be interfering with the print head’s movement.
- Reinstall the Ink Cartridges: Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges, making sure they are properly seated.
- Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for Firmware Updates: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve error issues. Check HP's website for any available updates for your model.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, there could be a hardware problem with the print head or the printer’s internal components.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
