Please could you post a URL for how to get this package.
I cannot see an update yet to the AIO_CDA_FSW_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe package that has been available since July.

Thanks,

Thanks for this post. I have now followed your instructions and I can see the display that I think you are referring to.

However, my system shows only four items, Printer Solutions, Solution Center, Orde Supplies online, HP Total care.

Where do you see the scanner support?

Lennie,

I'll try to give you as much info as I can:

- I noticed that when my printer was offline that the scanner feature did not show in the pop-up HP screen.

- When my printer was online (USB, powered on), then the scanner feature showed.

I would post a screen shot/picture; however, this website does not seem to support a picture insert, even though the icon for such a function is listed.

Not sure if this has any influence on the issue:  Even though I selected 3310 as my printer when downloading the driver,  my printer shows in my control panel as HP Photosmart 3300 series.  When installing the driver I did not allow HP to auto find my printer, since the script always chose the 3313; I had to make the script try again until a model that was close to my model number appeared.  Also, I had issues with the HP wizard as it could not detect my printer even though its USB was plugged in and the blue tooth was enabled (and seen by my router); I had to click a box that stated something like "install software anyway and plug in printer later?".

This is the url site that I used:

If the information was helpful to some extent, please thumbs up my post.  Much appreciation.

Thanks for the info. I have given you a thumbs up. However, while I could follow much of what you had done, I could not get any icon or interface to control the scanner - and it is this aspect that is missing for Windows 10.

I have phoned HP and they now are denying they ever told me that drivers would be made available.
Dreadful service.

Tried all the same steps.....  Same issue as everyone else.

Printer seems to work great if I manually install the 5510 driver for my 3310 printer.  Just no Scan function at all.

As everyone else explained the frustrating part is the HP software will recognize my 3310 device (even I try to trick it with 5500 series drivers), but none of the 3310 drivers work.  On top of that, the link the guy pasted above just brings me to a page where HP says screw you.

So, here I am using my all-in-one as a printer only.  Maybe at some point this will get fixed.

FacePlant, read previous post, there is the solution...

Now, HP has excluded photosmart 3310 from support.

Drivers and sofware doesn't exist anymore....  THANKS HP, YOU ARE GREAT !!!!!  😞

Scanning via the printer web server

I have been scanning using the limited function offered by the printer, accessed via web server which is built-in to my 3310.

Accessing the scaner  function

Open a browser page and type in the ip address of the printer home page.

On the home page, under applications, you will find the option to scan. Clcik on this and the scan application opens. (It works and is OK for one page at a time scanning.)

Don't know/can't find the ip address?

If you can't find the ip address, try openning File Explore and clicking on the Network icon, the printer shoud be listed there. Just click on the printer icon and that should take you to the printer web server. It should also show you the ip address for future use.

Hope this helps to resort some scanning functionality.

I appreciated the thread, since it saved me from additional frustrations. I currently use two 3310 All-in-ones and one HP 970Cse that replaced a HP 932 with an ink reservoir overflow issue. I did the same steps as many of you did, USB, wireless, the latest driver and the original driver from the HP CD (not recognized by Win 10.). I saw the new HP site "not supported" messages and methinks that HP wants us all to buy new all-in-ones. If they buy back about 20+ HP-2 cartridges I currently have, maybe.

If they aren't willing to release a new driver to support the scanning in Win10, which I do almost daily, at the very least, HP should offer a substantial discount to buy new HP brand All-in-ones. Hardware functionality, there is nothing wrong with any of my HPs. I am very bothered by their lack of support for drivers for me to continue using their products and to do my work. The customer service I have seen in the posts appears to be quotes from a script or owner manual level troubleshooting advice. Very poor, maybe the result of Carly Fiorina firing 14,500 HP workers and outsourcing those jobs to India.

I am also beginning to see this as a means for HP to stop producing HP 2 cartridges all at once.  I am thus far very disappointed and will be looking hard at Canon and Brother printers.

Hi Outoftown1,

I tend not to think of this as a conspiracy by HP. I am always much more drawn to the cockup theory!

I rather think that HP are overloaded with problems for printers and Windows 10 drivers. Those of us with older printers are at the bottom of the list for dealing with problems.

The first contact I had with HP was via their online chat help and from that service I was promised a solution. I have not chased this up but you may wish to.

If I cannot get a solution I will be buying another printer and it will almost certainly NOT be an HP.
