HP LaserJet Pro 3001dwe Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My 3001dwe laser printer will not go online, I have tried using the online HP support twice and only get extremally frustrated.

The power button and all 3 alert buttons are flashing so i would say it is not  inializing.

I have tried doing a reset numerous times. The techs online have disconnected twice which is unbelievable.

I give them the info and they always want to keep trying the same thing over and over.

I just want to get it repaired

Hi @texas12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the power button and all the alerts on your HP LaserJet Pro 3001dwe printer are flashing, it usually indicates a problem or error condition that needs attention. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer's main cover and look for any paper jams. Even a small piece of torn paper can trigger an error condition.
  • Check Toner Cartridges: Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed and seated. If a toner cartridge is not correctly in place, it can cause errors.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer back on and see if the error persists.
  • Update Firmware: Visit the official HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause issues.
  • Clear Print Queues: If there are multiple print jobs in the queue, clear them out and try printing again.
  • Check for Error Codes: If the printer is displaying a specific error code, refer to the printer's user manual or the HP support website to understand what the error code means and how to resolve it.
  • Inspect for Hardware Issues: Ensure that all printer covers and trays are properly closed. If any cover or tray is open, it can trigger an error condition.
  • Reset Printer: Depending on your printer model, there might be a reset option in the printer's settings. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I had tried everything you suggested.

There was no communication between the computer and printer even when hooked up directly with an ethernet cord. After my 3rd time on with a HP tech they finally acknowledged it had a hardware problem. I received a replacement yesterday.

Thanks for your input
