Hi @ASDFG122,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Laser Tank 1500w printer is suddenly turning off and not powering back on, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the power cable is securely plugged into both the printer and a working power outlet. Try using a different power outlet or power strip to rule out issues with the current outlet.

Inspect Power Cable and Adapter:

  • Check the power cable and adapter for any signs of damage such as fraying, cuts, or kinks. Replace the cable or adapter if there is visible damage.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable from the rear of the printer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on. This process can sometimes reset the printer and resolve temporary power issues.

Check for Overheating:

  • Ensure that the printer is placed in a well-ventilated area and that air vents are not blocked. Overheating can cause the printer to shut down unexpectedly.

Test with Different Power Source:

  • If possible, try connecting the printer to a different power source to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the printer or the power outlet.

Verify Power Settings:

  • Check the printer's power settings and ensure that any power-saving features are configured correctly. Some printers have settings that automatically power off after a period of inactivity.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can sometimes fix bugs related to power management and stability.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
