Product: Office Jet 4500 wireless
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

I was trying to power up this printer...had to switch plugs....now the printer will not turn off when depressing the power button???

 

any other suggestions what may be wrong..

 

also on my MacBook...it shows that this printer is "Offline"....????

When the printer is not powered on, the status will be offline on the computer.

 

If you have already performed the steps from the document Printer Does Not Turn On and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
