Hi @bentspinach,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP DeskJet 2755e All-In-One Printer displaying a blinking E2 error along with printing blank pages indicates that there might be an issue with the paper. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Check Paper Tray:
- Make sure that the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray.
- Ensure that the paper is not too glossy or too textured, as this may affect the printing process.
Paper Size and Type Settings:
- Confirm that the paper size and type settings on the printer match the paper loaded in the tray. Incorrect settings can cause printing issues.
Inspect Cartridges:
- Check if the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink levels.
- If the cartridges are low or empty, replace them with genuine HP cartridges.
Run Print Quality Diagnostic:
- Most printers have a built-in print quality diagnostic tool. Use this tool to identify and fix any print quality issues.
Clean Printhead:
- Some printers allow you to clean the printhead manually. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the printhead.
Update Firmware/Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Check the HP website for the latest updates.
Restart the Printer:
- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer. Even a small piece of torn paper can cause printing issues.
Reset the Printer:
- Perform a reset of the printer to clear any temporary errors. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
