This has reverted to not printing the margins even though I have downloaded the drivers.

First post ever on a forum, so be gentle with me please.  I have a standard template document on an Imac and macairbook. Text only, no grpahics, but it has a 1pt page margin on every page.  Now, on a canon printer in my office it prints beautifully.  But on my HP envy at home the bottom of the page border always drops off the page, on every page.  I have a colleague who uses another HP printer at his home, not an Envy, and it prints perfectly for him.  I have increased and decreased the page margin at the bottom.  I have increased and decreased the size of the footer.  All to no avail.  Now it's really frustrating me.  I'm not an IT expert but can find my way round most things with time.  But not this.

Thanks for providing that information prez69.

Did you download and install the latest drivers for 10.10, or are you using the Apple Update drivers?

Here are the Full Feature Software and Drivers, if you haven't already installed them.

HP ENVY 110 e-All-in-One Printer series D411 Full Feature Software and Drivers.

Check the driver name that is installed for the printer. Make sure it shows just the printer's name.
Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and on the right side of the screen it should show the printer's name. (Envy 114)

If the full printer name isn't listed correctly, delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name to add it in.

Do you have the same issue printing from other forms?

What size of paper are you using?

Hope this helps.

Thank You.

Hi @prez69 ,

I would be happy to help you out, but I will need some more information to provide the right solution.

What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

What operating system are you using? Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?

How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

What application are you printing standard template from?

Have a nice day!
Thank You.

Hello ... again ... my margins are off the page again.  I have gone through the link provided and ensured the drivers are correct but the bototm page border no loinger sits on the page.

Operating on iMac mid 2011, under OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

Using Mac Office 2011 suite

connecting wirelessly to an Envy 114.

When I print a document the bottom page border does not print.

I closed a previous thread because someone from HP sent me the original drivers and told me to install these.  It worked.  But rreverts after a few tries.  I've reinstalled several times and it keeps going back.

I print the same document from a MacBook to two other printers and do not experience this issue - it is only with the envy.

Hi prez69,

Thanks for sending me the PM, again I apologize for the late reply. You mentioned that you can't print the base margins again. You have already downloaded and installed the new drivers with the same results.

I have provided some steps to try, to see if it will resolve the issue.

Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:

Close all applications.

On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.

Double-click Disk Utility.

Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.

Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.

Restart the computer..

Reset the Printing System:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.

Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.

Click Printers & Scanners.

Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the correct Name and Password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button.

You might also need to run any Office 2011 suite updates.

Please let me know the outcome. :generic:

Thank You.

Hi prez69 ,

This is certainly a peculiar issue that you are having. Did you recently run any Apple Updates on the computer?

Please try the following steps to see if it will help.

1. In Word, go to "Format Document".
2. Click "Page Setup".
3. Under "Paper Size", select "Custom Sizes".
4. Add a custom sized page with user defined non-printable margins to your liking, and use this as your new Paper Size moving forward.

If you are still having issues, you might need to contact the manufacturer of the software, to see if they have a patch or any further information.

Please let me know the results.

Thank You.

Only the usual Apple updates and MS ones that come out.

The custom size won't work as as soon as you input the measures it recognicses the paper siz as A4.

Now here's an interesting thing - when I use the MaccBook Air to print rather than the iMac, the margin prints.
