Example: HP Office Jet Pro 860
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This web page is saving as a black PDF file and printing as all black:  https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/how-to/make-website-pt1-site-setup.html.  Other web pages do not exhibit this problem.  The above web page will (almost) properly print and save as a PDF in the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox (except the first page is blank in both browsers).  I am using the latest version of Windows 10 with Chrome version 58 and an HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Printer with the latest driver and firmware installed.  The issue occurs when I select Ctrl P and then choose to print or save as a PDF file.  Also, the webpage appears as black screens in the Print Preview screen you obtain when you select Ctrl P from the above web page.

Without re-installing chrome, the document now prints fine.    Not sure why the problem disappeared as Chrome was last updated on 5/9/2017.  The Chrome application file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application  has a date of 5/9/2017.   Thank-you for the response.

Hello, @mayslot – Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for your continued participation on the HP Forums! I’d like to help you with the printer issue!

Going through your post, the issue seems to be happening with one specific web page. Upon reading your thread, I tried saving the page as PDF using the chrome, and it worked without any issues. Please check my screenshot below:

Try to uninstall the Chrome completely and re-install the chrome. Once done open the page and instead of using the Ctrl + P, click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the upper-right corner of the browser window and select “Print” option from there.

If still faces the issue, go to the page and press Ctrl + Shift + P to get the default windows print window and try printing.

That should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂

Hello, @mayslot

Thanks for the update & Great stuff! Glad to know that you were able to fix the issue 🙂

It looks like a temporary issue with that specific web-site. Hence, the issue got fixed by itself.
