Hi @RobynChaMBERLIN,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access the Print Queue

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type control printers and press Enter.
    • Locate your HP Photosmart 6510 B211a printer in the list of devices.
    • Right-click on the printer and select See what's printing.

Cancel Stuck Print Jobs

  1. Open Print Queue Window:
    • In the print queue window, you should see a list of all pending print jobs.
  2. Cancel Individual Print Jobs:
    • Right-click on each print job and select Cancel.

Stop the Print Spooler Service (Requires Administrator Access)

  • Press Windows + X and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    • In the command prompt window, type net stop spooler and press Enter.
    • This command stops the print spooler service, effectively halting all current print jobs.
    • Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
    • You may need administrator permissions to access this folder.
    • Delete all files in this folder to clear the print queue.
    • Return to the command prompt and type net start spooler and press Enter.
    • This command starts the print spooler service again.

Restart Printer and Computer

  • Turn off your HP Photosmart 6510 B211a printer, wait for 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
    • Restart your computer to ensure all services are running correctly.
  1. Update Printer Firmware:

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

  1. Update Printer Drivers:
    • Ensure your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.

Additional Troubleshooting Using HP Smart App

  • Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
    • Open the app and connect it to your HP Photosmart 6510 B211a printer.
    • Use the app's diagnostic tools to check for any issues with the print queue.

I hope this helps.
