@TMadge

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that your HP Envy 7645 Printer prints blank lines after clearing jammed papers. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did you do any changes to the printer after removing the jammed papers?
  • Are you getting verticle lines are horizontal lines while printing?

Meanwhile

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

  1. Load U.S. Letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup (). The Setup menu displays.

  3. Touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report. A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.

If it prints vertical lines on it, try the below steps

Clean the cartridges

  1. Load U.S. Letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup (). The Setup menu displays.

  3. Swipe the display up, and then touch Printer Maintenance.

  4. Touch Clean Cartridges. A Print Quality Diagnostic report prints.

  5. Examine the Print Quality Diagnostic report.

Align the printer

  1. Load U.S. Letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup (). The Setup menu displays.

  3. Swipe the display down, and then touch Printer Maintenance.

  4. Touch Align Printer.

  5. After the printer prints the alignment page, touch OK, and then recycle or discard the alignment page.

  6. Print another Print Quality Diagnostic report to see if the issue is resolved.

Click here and refer the HP Document for more assistance.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.

I cleared the jam by opening up unit, removing  10" cover with handle and removed jammed paper by pulling back & up. Paper seemed to be stuck on last set of rollers and too some force to release. Next few pages also jammed. I turned off printer, changed paper and printing went through EXCEPT for the horizontal blank lines.Envy.JPGlines

I have this same issue.

Is there any resolution to this?

We are seeing our new HP Officejet Pro 8740 randomly leave blank areas on a printed page I called HP support and they seem to think it is a windows 10 problem.  Odd it is randomly happening no matter what software we print from.  Any fix for this?  We have updated the driver and cleaned the print heads
