Hi @LynnOZ
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the small white clip that holds the ink cartridge on your HP DeskJet 3755 has fallen off, it can be tricky to get it back into place, but it's usually possible with some patience. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you reattach the clip:
Step-by-Step Guide to Reattach the Ink Clip:
Turn Off the Printer:
- For safety, make sure the printer is powered off before you attempt to reattach the clip. You can disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer as well.
Locate the Ink Cartridge Area:
- Open the printer’s front access door to expose the ink cartridges. The cartridges should be in their slots, which are part of the carriage that moves back and forth during printing.
Check the Ink Carriage:
- Gently move the ink cartridge carriage to the center of the printer if it's not already there. You may need to do this by hand, but be careful not to force anything.
Inspect the Clip Mechanism:
- Look closely at the area where the ink clip used to be attached. There should be a small section on the printer's ink carriage where the clip attaches. The clip will usually fit into a small notch or groove, so make sure the area is clear of any obstruction.
Reposition the Clip:
- Take the small white clip and hold it in the correct position. Typically, the clip will only fit in one direction, and it will snap into place when you line it up properly with the slot.
- The clip should fit snugly against the ink cartridge, holding it securely in place. Ensure the clip aligns with the carriage’s notch.
Press the Clip Gently:
- Once the clip is in position, press down gently to snap it into place. It should click into position and hold the ink cartridge securely.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
