Hi @munshi8181,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP printer is showing an “Error State” after changing the toner. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Power cycle the printer

Turn off the printer and unplug it for about 60 seconds.

Plug it back in and turn it on to clear temporary errors.

Reseat the toner cartridge

Open the toner access panel and remove the new cartridge.

Reinsert it carefully, making sure it clicks into place and aligns properly.

Check for protective tape

Some new cartridges come with plastic protective tape over the drum or contacts.

Ensure all tape or packaging has been removed before installation.

Clean contacts

Use a lint-free cloth to gently clean the metal contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer.

This helps establish proper communication between the printer and cartridge.

Update printer firmware

Open HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant → Printer Maintenance → Update Printer.

Updated firmware can resolve issues with new toner cartridges.

Reset the printer

If the error persists, perform a factory reset via printer settings, then reinstall the toner.

I hope this helps.
