I have an HP Desk Jet 3752 all in one. The display keeps blinking E 3. I opened the HP app and it says "cartridge carriage cannot move. Check for a paper jam or other obstruction. If there are no obstructions make sure the cartridges are installed correctly." I looked very thoroughly and there is no paper jam, there is no obstruction. I try to move the cartridge carriage and it wont budge. I tried resetting the printer and that didnt work either. Please help!! I use this printer for school, so its very important that I resolve this issue as fast and possible. Thank you for your time.

Hi @shygrl8 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand there might be a mechanical issue with the cartridge carriage in your HP DeskJet 3752 printer.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, this can reset the printer and resolve minor issues.
- Check for Obstructions: Even if you've checked before, carefully inspect the printer again for any small pieces of paper, debris, or foreign objects that may be obstructing the cartridge carriage's movement. Use a flashlight to thoroughly examine the printer's interior.
- Manually Move the Cartridge Carriage: Sometimes, the cartridge carriage can get stuck due to a mechanical issue. Try gently moving it back and forth along its track to see if it loosens up. Be very careful not to force it, as this could cause further damage.
- Inspect the Cartridge Area: Remove the ink cartridges and check for any issues such as misalignment or damage. Make sure they are properly installed and seated correctly in their respective slots.
Reset the Printer: Perform a more thorough reset of the printer by following these steps:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can address known issues and improve printer functionality.
