For the past several months my printer has been printing nonsense. However it was still printing work so it was not a big deal. I just turned it off when not in use. However in the past week, it stopped printing altogether. I set it back to factory settings but when I tried to log in and set up Smart Print it came up with an error - UA_400_EB0000U0004 and said I was not the registered user. It stated that I could still print but it simply will not allow me to on my desktop or laptop. This is a fairly new computer so I am not sure why it is not working. I would prefer a phone call to troubleshoot.

1. Address the Error Code (UA_400_EB0000U0004)

This error code indicates a problem with your printer’s registration or account status. To resolve it:

Verify Printer Registration:

  1. Go to the HP Smart website and sign in with the account associated with your printer.
  2. Check if your printer is listed under your devices. If not, you may need to re-register your printer.

Re-register Your Printer:

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Follow the instructions to add your printer. You might need to enter the printer’s serial number.
  3. Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet and registered under your HP account.

2. Reset Printer and Reconfigure

Since you’ve already set your printer to factory settings, proceed with reconfiguring:

Reconnect to Network:

  1. Go to the printer’s control panel.
  2. Access the network settings and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Set Up Printer:

  1. Use the HP Smart app to re-add and set up your printer.

3. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
