HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I have an HP Office Jet Pro #7740 wide  format.  It turns on and connects to my computer via wire.  Computer says it is connected and ready to print.  When I click print the printer screen wakes up as it always has then the screen says "Printing" while the usual "Buffering" circle shows on screen which is how it always starts to print and with in a few seconds it starts to print.  Unfortunately this is where is stays.  The screen says Printing, the Buffer circling is on the screen and it stays this way until I hit cancel.  I deleted the printer from my laptop, thinking it was a lost driver.  It finds my printer loads the driver and I make it my default BUT still ends up frozen in same way.  I unplugged and plugged back in but no change.  Unless someone has seen this issue and fixed it I expect a new one is in order??  FYI: Purchased in 2017 and has been reliable since.
