This printer is oprinting very very slow. Ik takes a lot of time to print an very simple document.

Ha s anyone suggestions how to solve this problem?

Bestr regards,

CeesN

De printer is erg langzaam. Ben benieuwd of er instellingen zijn aan te passen waardoor de snelheid weer normaal is.

There are two possibilities for slow printing.  Watch the printer during a print job and note how the carriage moves:

  • If the carriage moves across the page, then pauses for 10-15 seconds, then moves across the page again one of the cartridges is at fault.  To determine which cartridge remove the black cartridge and send a print job.  If this prints normally then the black cartridge was at fault and should be replaced.  If the printing is still slow then put the black cartridge back in the printer and remove the color cartridge.  If the print speed is now normal then the color cartridge was at fault.
  • If the carriage moves back and forth without delay across the page, but takes several hundred passes to print a page then the media type is likely set to photo paper.  Check the paper type in the paper/quality tab of the driver and select the proper paper type.

I am glad to hear that.  Which case was it - a bad cartridge (which one?) or photo paper in the driver?
