When I hit the cancel button on my HP Officejet Pro 8620 display, the print job stops, but then re-starts. I keep pressing the cancel button, but this cycle repeats about 5 times. Wasting a lot of ink.

To view a list of items waiting to print in Windows 10, select the search box next to Start on the taskbar and type devices and printers.
Select Devices and Printers and find your printer in the list.
Press and hold (or right-click) it and select See what's printing.
Cancel your print job.

When actively printing, it changes to say " X Printing" with a rotating arrow around the X.
If you tap the X, a Red X appears on the bottom left of the screen.
Tap the Red X, it will cancel the print job.

That is exactly what I did and why I posted this message. When I press 'X printing' and the red 'X', it stops the current print job, but then starts the same job again a few seconds later. I press 'X printing' again and the red 'X', and the same cycle repeats 5 times before it completely stops. I just recreated the issue. In the printer que on my laptop, the status shows "Printing-Restarting" each time.

The only other suggestion is to reinstall the HP printer driver.
