Product: HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer

the printer is not showing up in my other laptop when i connected it to it with the usb cable, i can see it on the old laptop but though, why is that?

With the sparse information provided, who knows. What operating systems? Does the new computer beep acknowledgement of printer when connected but fail to install?  Some computers ship with a critical USB printer file not installed and without that drivers cannot install. For most newer printers, you should either download the complete install from support.hp.com and follow the instructions on screen and not connect the printer until prompted. Or go the online route and go to 123.hp.com (type exactly that) for online install.
