Hi @Bajazit
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That error code 0xc19a0023 typically points to a printhead issue—either it's clogged, malfunctioning, or not properly seated. It can also be triggered by faulty or low-ink cartridges. Here’s a step-by-step approach to get your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 back on track:
Step 1: Check the Ink Cartridges and Printhead
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Open the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to stop moving.
- Remove the ink cartridges from the printer and inspect them for any damage or leaks.
- Inspect the printhead and check for any clogs or ink buildup. If necessary, gently clean the printhead using a clean, lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
Step 2: Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer using the power button and unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
- Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.
Step 3: Perform a Printhead Cleaning
- Load paper into the input tray.
- On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then press the Setup icon.
- Select Printer Maintenance.
- Select Clean Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 4: Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads website.
- Enter your printer model, HP OfficeJet Pro 8720, and select your operating system (Windows 11).
- Download and install any available firmware updates.
