@robtdurb,

Let's try these steps:

  • If the printer is connected to a WiFi network, turn off the WiFi
  • Power Reset the printer
    • Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector.
    • Turn the printer on.
    • Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
    • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
    • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait at least 60 seconds
    • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
    • Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
    • Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  • Check if the printer goes to the main screen
  • Try to make a copy. If it works then turn on the WiFi and try making a copy again.

Let me know what happens.

Wi-Fi yes
restart is only possible after pulling the cable out of the power socket
the printer works, and the problem is repeated again after a few shutdowns

@Peterko1,

Let's try these steps:

Step 1: Update the Printer and the Router firmware

  • Refer to this link to update the printer firmware.
  • Check if your Router has a firmware update and install the update

Step 2: Disable IPv6

  • On the printer control Panel, touch the settings icon
  • Go to Network Set-Up > Wireless Settings > Advanced Settings > IP Settings > Enable IPv4 only/disable IPv6
  • Save the settings

Check if these changes help. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
