Welcome to HP Forums,
Let's get straight to it!
I need to know if you've completed the page alignment?
While you check that out, here's what you need to do:
Solution one: Reset the printer
-
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
-
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
-
Wait at least 15 seconds.
-
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
-
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on
Solution two: Load paper, and try to align the printer again
Follow these steps to make sure that the paper type is appropriate to print an alignment page, and then try to align the printer again.
Step one: Load the correct type of paper
-
Remove all the paper from the tray.
NOTE:
Aligning the printer using colored, photo, or used paper can cause the alignment to fail.
-
Load unused, plain white letter or A4-sized paper with a brightness level of at least 85 into the tray.
NOTE:
Look for the brightness level on the paper packaging.
Step two: Use an automated tool to align the printer
-
On the printer control panel, press the Setup button (
) repeatedly until Tools displays, and then press OK.
-
Press the Right Arrow button (
) to select Align Printer, and then press OK.
NOTE:
Mechanical noises during the alignment are normal.
-
Examine the printed alignment page. It should show all the color patterns—especially the black and blue patterns. The ink should not be streaked or faint.

-
If the alignment page looks good, and resetting the printer and realigning did not resolve the ‘Alignment Failed’ message, then skip to the solution to service the printer. There is no need to clean or replace the printhead if the alignment page prints correctly.
-
If the alignment page is missing colors or is faded or streaked, continue to the next solution.

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)
Let me know how that pans out
I will have a colleague follow-up on this to ensure it's taken care off, in case you don't respond in the next 24-48hrs,
As I need to know if the issue has been resolved, to get proper sleep at night.
