Hi @CRG5,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is showing up in the print queue but not printing, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Restart the Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Turn off your computer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn the printer and computer back on.

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • For wireless printers: Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • For USB-connected printers: Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into both the printer and the computer.
  • For network printers: Make sure the printer is properly connected to the network and reachable from your device.

Clear the Print Queue:

  • Open the Print Queue on your computer by clicking the printer icon on the system tray or searching for "Printers & Scanners" in settings.
  • Right-click on any jobs in the queue and select Cancel.
  • Try printing again after clearing the queue.

Set the Printer as Default:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Find your printer in the list, click on it, and select Set as default.
  • Try printing again.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support page and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
  • Uninstall the current driver by going to Device Manager, then Printers, and uninstalling the printer.
  • Reinstall the driver and attempt to print.

Check for Paper Jams or Low Ink Levels:

  • Make sure there is enough paper loaded in the tray and no paper jams.
  • Check ink or toner levels and replace cartridges if necessary.

Check Printer Status:

  • Make sure your printer is not set to "Offline".
  • In Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer and make sure Use Printer Offline is not checked.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to automatically diagnose and fix printing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
