The "rear door" on my computer is on the opposite side of where your copy is going to come out. It's where the rollers turn the paper from it's tray to be fed by the inkjets. You just take a thumb and press on the rear door which gives enough pressure so the rollers can force your photo paper up and through the rollers.

I had the same problem with my HP 9025, and tried the rear door trick to no avail. After reading more forum posts, I actually looked at my printer and realized there are two trays, not just one. I know, I'm a fool. Anyway, tray 1 is only supposed to take plain paper, but tray 2 can take glossy. Maybe there is another dumbass out there who could benefit from this tip, even though it is a different model than OP was using. 😊
