Hi @njk4121 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY 5055 printer not printing simple PDF photos, there are several potential solutions you can try:

Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Visit the official HP website, locate the drivers section, and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model.

PDF File Issues: Confirm that the PDF file you are trying to print is not corrupted. Try opening and printing other PDF files to see if the issue persists.

Use Adobe Reader: If you're not already using Adobe Reader, try opening the PDF file with it. Sometimes, alternative PDF viewers may not handle printing as well as Adobe Reader.

Print as Image: In Adobe Reader, you can try printing the PDF file as an image. To do this, go to "File" > "Print," click on the "Advanced" button, and check the option to "Print as Image." This can sometimes resolve issues with complex PDFs.

Check Print Settings: Ensure that the print settings, such as paper size and orientation, match the settings of your printer and the PDF file. Incorrect settings may cause printing errors.

Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart of both the printer and your computer can resolve communication issues.

Clear Print Queue: If there are multiple print jobs in the queue, try clearing them and then attempt to print the PDF file again.

Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for firmware updates on the HP support website.

Printer Troubleshooter: Use the built-in printer troubleshooter on your computer to identify and fix any issues. This tool can be found in the Control Panel on Windows or System Preferences on macOS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
