I have a MacBook Air running Catalina 10.15.4 and an HP Photosmart 7525. A few days ago the printer started printing out blanks, although it had worked fine the day before. Checking the advice online, I cleaned my printheads (no luck) and then soaked the cartridge as directed (no luck). I also installed all new ink cartridges. I then saw the note about updating Mac software, so I downloaded my current 10.15.4, and my printer worked again--for 20 pages. Then I started seeing streaky pages, and before long all blanks. Since then I have tried other forum suggestions like resetting my printer system (no luck), unplugging my printer power cord (no luck), and restarting my computer (no luck).  If it matters, I also tried copying a page (no luck). I haven't seen any other advice offered in the forum posts. Please help!

You most likely have a bad printhead.

I replaced the printhead already, maybe 2 years ago, and my experience then was nothing like now. I have been reading messages from a number of users about problems with Apple's iOS Catalina updates, and what is described is exactly like my experiences. The last time I looked at HP's community troubleshooting page, I saw advice to enable AirPrinting on my Mac, and it worked somewhat (grey, but better than blank). I am awaiting a response from Apple, maybe in vain, but I will let the HP community know if I hear anything of use.

Thanks for your response.

You stated that you are unable to print a copy, this has nothing to do with the Apple O/S.
