@mamaslan, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Paper Jam Error for HP LaserJet MFP M140w Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you can't print after removing the jammed paper from your HP LaserJet MFP M140w Printer and continue receiving an error, follow these steps to resolve the issue.

Look for any remaining jammed paper

Remove jammed paper from the input tray:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Remove the input tray and inspect for any remaining paper pieces. Use both hands to remove any visible paper.

Clear jammed paper from the toner cartridge area:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Open the top cover and remove the toner cartridge.
  • Gently pull out any jammed paper from the cartridge area. Ensure no torn pieces remain inside.
  • Reinsert the toner cartridge and close the top cover.
  • Lower the scanner assembly and reconnect the power cord.

Clear jammed paper from the rear door:

  • Open the rear door.
  • Carefully pull out any jammed paper from the area.
  • Close the rear door.

Reset the printer

Sometimes, a false paper jam error can persist. To resolve this, perform a reset as follows:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
