Hi @cynthiachaveza,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ProFMP M183fw is printing multiple blank pages with header information after each print job, it usually indicates an issue with the printer's communication or configuration settings. Here’s how to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Troubleshooting Steps
Check Print Settings:
- Ensure that you’re not accidentally selecting a setting that causes extra pages to print, such as "Print Preview" or "Print All Pages" in the application you are using.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer. Outdated drivers can cause printing issues.
Check Printer Preferences:
- Go to Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select Printer properties. Check the preferences and ensure no unusual settings are enabled that might cause extra pages to print.
Print a Test Page:
- From the printer properties menu, print a test page. If the test page prints correctly without extra pages, the issue may lie within the software application you are using.
Use a Different Application:
- Try printing from a different application to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the specific program you are using.
Check Network Settings (for network printers):
- If you are using the printer over a network, ensure that it is properly configured. Check the IP address settings and make sure they are correct.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help clear any temporary glitches.
Firmware Update:
- Check for any firmware updates on the HP Support website, as updates can fix bugs and improve printer performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
