I am trying to print on 300gsm paper it is taking it from the paper tray and then not going any further, its not getting stuck because when I cancel the print the paper comes out fine, but there is no image on the paper. Is there a way that I can fix this so I can print on the 300gsm paper?

The question is perhaps "does this mystery printer support 300 gsm photo paper?"
Any other paper type is an assured "No".
If that is your answer, stop and you are done.
Continued...
Some printers do support 300 gsm photo paper.
Paper type also includes paper quality -- an HP printer is made to print on supported HP paper -- HP printers will generally also print on high-quality brands of supported paper.
Photo paper comes in more than one print surface - Not all print surfaces are equal and / or supported.
- You must first know the product model.
Enter the device type and model name of your HP product
- Next, You must know the product Specifications.
- Next, IF the paper size, type, and weight are supported, the printer must be aware of these settings - Tray and Paper
- Next, Assuming the printer is aware of the Tray and Paper settings, the job configuration on your Device (computer, tablet, or phone) must be made aware of the settings needed to print the content.
