Hi @wwebby,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP DeskJet 4100e is printing partially or blank pages, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Check Ink Levels: Make sure that the ink cartridges are not empty or low. Replace any cartridges that are running low or empty.
- Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. Remove any paper that might be stuck.
- Printhead Cleaning: Perform a printhead cleaning. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu or via the HP Smart app on your computer.
- Check Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and reinsert them, making sure they click into place.
- Print Quality Settings: Check the print quality settings on your computer. Sometimes, setting it to a higher quality can help if you're experiencing blank pages.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can usually update it via the HP Smart app or the printer's web interface. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Run Printer Diagnostics: Use the printer's built-in diagnostic tools to check for any issues. This option can often be found in the settings menu on the printer.
- Check for Software Updates: Ensure that your printer drivers and software are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
- Perform a Factory Reset: If none of the above steps work, you may want to try a factory reset of the printer. Be aware that this will erase any custom settings.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
