printing problem using word 2007

My printer printed everything OK in word 2007 but when I added word 2010 recently it won't print any word documents as  it appears on screen and in printing preview .  it will only print what is in text boxes and the rest is blank. It prints OK if the documents are saved as a PDF. Other programs I have are printing well. 

I asked on the Microsoft site and someone looked at one of my documents and apparently it prints OK for them.

I have tried all that I have read on the Internet unplugged everything , moved documents to a different place checked and unchecked things on printer options .I also put 2007 back on my computer and tried to delete word 2010 (though it refused to be removed . ) and my printer drivers are ok

has anyone any idea how to solve this issue it is driving me mad .

 managed to delete word 2010 from my computer in case it had a problem. still no Joy in printing from word 2007. Is there no one there who has any idea of what the problem is and how to fix it ?

I`ve been at this all day and have made a discovery I`d like to share. I have discovered that if I change the colour of the ink from black to say blue it prints fine .I don't understand why this should be as I have plenty of black ink in the cartridge plus any black text in text boxes prints fine !!!!
