Product: HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

Been trying to print for the past week, but I keep getting a "filter failed" error. I've already tried everything suggested in every other thread about this error, but nothing worked.

Hi,

Please make sure your macOS is fully up to date by installing any update for your operating system:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541

 

Next, uninstall any existing HP Software by following the HP Uninstaller Utility below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/HP_Uninstaller...

 

Next, download and install the latest drivers below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/ASU/HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dm...

 

Finally,  open System Preferences, and then open Printers & Scanners to re-add your printer. be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu.

I am having the same issue. Unable to print anything with my HP ink tank 319. The procedure mentioned by you is not effective. Please suggest another solution.

It looks like my printer is the ONLY HP printer EVER made that is not on this driver list,,, OfficeJet 250 Mobile...
All I can do is laugh at this point.
