When I am trying to print from the Laptop My printer is continually printing pages.  I can cancel them on the printer. The first page of the printing is as follows:

HP-PCL XL;3;0;Comment Copyright 2000 HP Development Company, L. P.

Then it will continue to print several more pages with unknown signs and x's alphas and many mores.  Again, if I cancel that printing, the same thing will begin to print over and over.

Hi @UmangMori,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems that you are experiencing an issue where your printer is continuously printing pages and you're unable to stop it. This can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Cancel the print job on your computer: Open the print queue on your computer and cancel the print job. On Windows, you can do this by going to the Control Panel, selecting "Devices and Printers," finding your printer, right-clicking on it, and choosing "See what's printing" or "Print queue." Then, click on "Cancel All Documents" to stop the printing.
  • Cancel the print job on the printer: On the printer itself, there should be a cancel or stop button. Press that button to halt the printing process. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on canceling print jobs.
  • Restart your computer and printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Turn off both your computer and printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on. This can help reset any connections or software issues causing the continuous printing.
  • Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can sometimes cause printing problems. Visit the website of your HP printer and look for the latest drivers for your specific printer model. Download and install the updated drivers on your computer.
  • Check printer settings: Ensure that the printer settings on your computer are correctly configured. Open the Print dialog box when attempting to print and review the settings such as paper size, print quality, and number of copies. Make any necessary adjustments before sending a new print job.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
