HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545

My printer suddenly has started displaying the "Incompatible Cartridge" error. The printer is "HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545". I have just finished with printing a page and then this error is displayed. I have tried cleaning the way it is displayed in support page and also tried a new cartridge, but with no success. Please suggest

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

 

Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges. 

 

This looks like a possible hardware failure with the printhead or the printer itself. However, I would suggest you try these steps here: 

 

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds. 

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

To clean the ink cartridges, refer to the steps from this document.

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps.

Thanks for the response,

I tried the solution, however, it continues to show the same error. I tried only with the color cartridge and it worked properly. So, I assume the issue  is only with the black cartridge.

100% the same error with a HP3070A printer: I presume it is a built in error by HP ? I hope they will answer the question soon ?

Hi Jeet,

As stated in my previous reply, the issue is with the recognition of the black cartridge. The color cartridge is correctly being recognized. Can you please suggest the next steps.
