HP OfficeJet 8012e All-in-One Printer

When I try to print something on my Officejet 8012e, HP Smart tells me the printer is not installed and I need to install the driver first.  It then "installs" the printer, tells me it was successfully installed and that I can now print to it, but I try to print something and it tells me again the printer is not installed and I need to install the printer driver first.

 

I tried downloading the driver and installing it manually, that didn't work.

 

I tried the HP Print Scan Doctor.  That finds no errors, and even successfully prints a test page.

 

Still I can't print.
