I recently ran out of ink and replaced multiple cartidges and printed one document but when I come back to print more the next day I am getting this error. I've gone through a bunch of these but not found any that are open or have a solution. I have tried replacing the new cartridges with the previous ones with no change. The Printer did run an alignment test and printed just black and magenta. Now it just comes back as "Printer is Busy" when i try to clean or align

The stupid thing is I printed an invoice earlier (12/28) and came back to print the postage after packing the box/order, having done NOTHING to the printer in that half hour, and got this error when I tried to print the postage label (on plain paper) so I know the cartridges/printheads worked, it's not due to the cartridge change on the 24th

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Power resetting the printer, re-seating the printhead and updating the printer firmware may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:
1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector
2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door
3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer
5) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.
6) Download and update the printer firmware from here.
If issue persist, use steps 2 and 3 from this document and re-seat the printhead.
Let me know how it goes!
