I'm trying to figure out what to do now to resolve my printer issue.  I'm seeing a message that says "Printhead Problem: the printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed. Reinstall the printhead."  The printhead is not missing and I've already tried reinstalling it.  Any suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated.

@DJT1213, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printhead Problems on HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you are experiencing issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e printer indicating a printhead problem, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Since you have already tried reinstalling the printhead and the problem persists, follow these additional steps:

Check Printhead and Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the cartridge access door and remove the printhead.
  • Inspect the printhead for any visible damage or debris.
  • Using a lint-free cloth, gently clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the printer with distilled water. Avoid using alcohol as it can damage the printhead.

Reset the Printer:

  • Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
  • Wait for the printer to become idle and silent before proceeding.
  • Perform a factory reset on the printer following the instructions in the user manual. This can sometimes resolve detection issues.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. Check the HP website for any available firmware updates and apply them if necessary.

Run Diagnostic Tools:

  • Use the HP Smart app or the built-in diagnostic tools on the printer to run a diagnostic test. These tools can sometimes identify and fix errors automatically.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
