Operating System: Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

My black printing cartridge ran out of ink, so i went to a local shop and got it refilled...
But now that im putting in the cartridge again, the warningsign on the printer is blinking, and display saying "Refer to printer documentation"... i dont get this... it must have something to do with the cartridge since, its the only thing that has changed.. but it's STILL the same cartridge? didn't get a new one or wrong one, or anything... please help.. have tried everything, around putting it in, turing off, taking out, replugging machince etc.. nothing works.. printer is just locked...

HP Recommended
Replace the cartridge with a genuine HP cartridge to see if it resolves your issue. If it does, your refill cartridge was damages and you need to get a refund.
