Hi  

 

I have an HP 7740 printer and I have the "Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed." ERROR message.  I have now gone through 3 x 4 packs of inks, and have even returned 2 x of the 4 packs as counterfeit as advertised on one of the HP pages saying i was missing a HP Hologram message.    Anyway,my printer was working 'fine' until i needed to change this ink, and thinking back to about 2 weeks ago, my printer installed an update.  Could this be the culprit???  how can i undo or by pass this?

 

please help 🙂

If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink Cartridge Errors and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
