When I print preview all the settings are set properly, letter paper, margins, etc. but when I send to the printer the right side gets cut off by about a centimeter. One thing to note is that when I make a copy nothing gets cut off and it copies fine.

I have had the printer for a few years and this just started happening in the last few months. My temporary solution for now has been to set the scale to 90% and then I can print out my entire document without the right side missing, but the print out is only 90%.

Is there a setting that I am missing or some update on chrome OS that messed this up?

'Thanks for your help!

Hi Betty0610,

Thanks for getting back to me. I removed and then added the printer per your instructions. I then printed an invoice and it is still cut off on the right side of the page. (But when I reduce the print out scale to 90%, then I can see the entire invoice)

Please let me know what else I can try.

Thank you

Is this happening on all documents that you try printing? Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Hello again,

I tried printer update, the printer checked and it said that it was up to date already.

What next?

Thanks.

opps, sorry, missed your other question...Yes, it is happening to all of my documents that I print, doesn't matter if it is quickbooks, spreadsheets, etc.

Do you have any other device connected to this Printer? If yes, is it printing fine from there?

I don't have any other devices connected to this printer, so I loaded the driver onto my phone, tried printing an invoice from quickbooks and it printer fine!

So obviously there is something wrong with my chromebook settings.

I'm not to sure what else we can do since we have re installed the driver already.

Your thoughts?

Thanks.

This might require remote access to your computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Keep me posted.

Cheers.
