I do have the HP Smart app but it seems to only recognize one photo at a time for scanning to my PC.  How can I nudge the app into letting me scan two or three 4x6 photos at one time? I want to scan a large number of family photos that are currently hard copy  photographs. Perhaps there is an updated version of the app that I am lacking. What do you think?

Is it possible that my HP Smart app is "too old" to allow me to scan two or three photos at once?

If needed uninstall the HP Smart App and reinstall the latest version

You ill need to scan using the Scanner Glass and not the ADF

To add pages or scan the other side, click the Add pages icon  on the bottom bar, place the next item face-down on the scanner glass, and then click Scan.

I now have app "HP Scan Extended".  Using that, I can successfully scan three 4x6 photos AFTER selecting the option "auto detect size".  That selection is crucial to scanning multiple pics as separate entities. Thanks a million!
