Samsung View tablet says 'connected' to HP 3630, trying to print Wi-Fi direct (or ANY way), it keeps searching for printer, and nothing happens. ????

Yes, I read all that mumbo-jumbo. But the main thing I read was printed on top of the box it came in: "Mobile Devices--Router connection not required". But, all is well. I finally got it to print. Turned on "Wi-Fi Direct" on the tablet, downloaded some plug-in from HP, it searched and then connected to the printer. WHY, in this day and age, do things have to be this complicated?

Hi,
How do you connect your printer now ? It requires a wireless network as mentioned:

I don't have a wireless network in the house, so thus no router. My tablet, along with the cell phones receive their Internet data straight from the towers. But according to HP, one is supposed to be able to print by "Wi-Fi direct".

Thanks for the feedback and glad to hear you got the wireless working ok. I'm interested to know what you thought about the set-up instructions and perhaps how they could be improved?
Many thanks
Ciara
